How to use

Frequently asked questions
Can I paste a YouTube or Facebook URL?
No. This tool converts a video file already on your device. For your own platform videos, use the platform's official export or download feature first.
Can I convert MP4 video to MP3 audio?
Yes. Choose an MP4 file, select MP3, and click Convert video. The result is an audio-only MP3. A video without an audible audio track cannot produce useful MP3 sound.
What is the difference between MP3 and WAV?
MP3 is compressed and usually smaller. WAV stores uncompressed audio and is often much larger.
Why is MP4 not in my format list?
Your browser does not report support for recording MP4 in this tool. The menu only offers formats it reports as supported.
Does conversion always make a video smaller?
No. It depends on the source codec, original bitrate, content, resolution, and selected settings. The final size is shown after conversion.
Will audio be kept?
The tool attempts to include the source audio. If it cannot establish an audio track on your browser, it stops rather than silently creating a video without sound.
Why does conversion take so long?
This browser-based method plays and records the video in real time. The tab must remain open until recording completes.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is selected and processed locally by this page's browser code.
